The Miami Vascular Specialists are proud to announce Joseph Dergan, MD as a new associate in the practice of vascular and endovascular surgery. Dr. Dergan returns to his roots in South Florida where his undergraduate degree in biology was obtained from Florida International University. His medical training was completed at Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica and a full residency in general surgery accomplished at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Dr. Dergan has just completed a two-year fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery at The University of Texas Hospitals in San Antonio, Texas and is board certified.

Dr. Dergan is pleased to have returned to Miami with his wife, Alexina, who is a family practitioner and their two young children. He looks forward to establishing himself in our comprehensive and innovative practice with the opportunity to expand his experience in surgery as we are also looking forward to learning from him many of the new and exciting changes in our specialty.
