Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship

The Miami Cardiac and Vascular Institute and Radiology Associates of South Florida are pleased to announce a new Interventional Neuroradiology Fellwship position available in July 2012. This is a two year fellowship position. Applicants must be ABR-certified or Board Eligible in Radiology and have completed accredited Fellowship training in NeuroRadiology. Applicants may also have completed training in Neurosurgery or Neurology and have fellowship training in Stroke or Neuro ICU and Board Certified or Eligible in Neurology or Neurosugery. 

The position entails extensive training in all aspects of endovascular intervention in cerebrovascular diseases including brain and spine vascular malformations (AVMs and AVFs) intracranial aneurysms, intracranial and extracranial stenosis, acute ischemic stroke, embolization of tumors of brain and spine and diagnostic catheter angiography. The Fellow will be also required to evaluate patients in the NICU and emergency room. Opportunities to perform clinical research and several clinical trials are also available. Applicants directly out of fellowship, as well as those with more clinical experience will be considered.
